Professional Experience

Ed was born and raised in Rochester. New York and has strong ties to the local community. While in college, Ed worked as a research assistant for the Congresswoman, and later Governor of Connecticut, Ella T. Grasso. Upon graduation from law school, Ed returned to Rochester and established a law practice.

In March of 2000, after twenty-four years of running his own office, Ed merged his practice with Gallo & Iacovangelo, LLP. He has brought to the firm considerable experience in both criminal and civil litigation, family law, real property law, estate and commercial litigation. In addition, Ed acted as a part-time Monroe County Assistant District Attorney for eleven years where he prosecuted Driving While Intoxicated cases in the local courts. Since joining the firm, Ed has handled numerous complex estate litigation matters for both private clients as well as the Public Administrator. Ed served as an adjunct faculty member at St. John Fisher College where he taught law related courses in the Political Science Department for over 38 years.

Personal Info/Hobbies/Interests

Ed and his wife Bonnie reside in Gates, New York. His son Jim is a tenured assistant professor of English at Indiana State University and his daughter Jennie holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan and is the Administrator of the Eastman School’s Community Music program. Ed remains active in the local community where among other things he has served as President of the Nazareth Academy Parents Association, a CYO Basketball Coach, a Mental Health Legal Services and Volunteer Legal Service Project attorney, and an active member of his parish and several Catholic social ministry programs. Ed and Bonnie enjoy spending their leisure time with their grandchildren.
