    Background

Ed was born and raised in Rochester, New York and has strong ties to the local community. While in College, Ed worked as a research assistant for the Congresswoman, and later Governor of Connecticut, Ella T. Grasso. Upon graduation from law school, Ed returned to Rochester and established a law practice.

In March of 2000, after twenty-four years of running his own office, Ed merged his practice with Gallo & Iacovangelo, LLP.  He brought to the firm considerable experience in criminal and civil litigation, estate planning and administration, commercial litigation, family law and real property law.  In addition, Ed acted as a part-time Monroe County Assistant District Attorney for eleven years where he prosecuted Driving While Intoxicated cases in the local courts.  Ed is an adjunct faculty member at St. John Fisher College where he teaches law related courses in the Political Science Department.

Ed and his wife Bonnie reside in Gates, New York. His son Jim is a Ph.D. candidate in Irish Studies and British Literature at the University of Notre Dame and his daughter Jennie is a recent Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Allegheny College. Ed remains active in the local community where among other things he has served as President of the Nazareth Academy Parents Association, a CYO Basketball Coach, a Mental Health Legal Services and Volunteer Legal Service Project attorney, a member of St. Helen's Church Parish Council, and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
