Representing real estate clients and mortgage lending institutions is a practice in which Timothy McCusker has the opportunity to "work with a large number of people, help them meet their goals, and exercise my legal skills, which is a nice combination. My early years in the practice of law gave me a broad background of experience from which to draw. The years I served as Town Justice increased my awareness of just how much people depend on the legal system, and lawyers in particular, to work expeditiously and efficiently. With a concentration of my practice in the real estate area, I find that I can meet these client based, professional goals quite successfully."
Enjoying the Intricacies
"There's a lot of nitty-gritty to this real estate business. You do a lot of digging to discover the facts, to find the whole story. But I enjoy that aspect, and its ties to history, which is a longtime interest of mine."
Staying in Touch
"It's crucial to me that clients can reach me, that I'm accessible and will get back to them. I find it important to give clients a global sense of what's going on, to spend the time explaining the entire process so they feel comfortable."
Tim has been a member of the Newark Zoning Board of Appeals for the past 10 years and is a past president of the Newark Public Library Board of trustees. He has served on St. Michael's Paris Pastoral Council the past three years and very much enjoys singing in the St. Michael's adult choir. He and his wife, Anne, have raised twin daughters to adulthood, and they now spend much of their recreational time together hiking and kayaking the byways of New York.
